In a time like the present, when the job market is more competitive than ever, many University choose to expand their training and academic qualification with the completion of a master’s degree. To facilitate access to these lessons graduates unemployed, the Ministry of Education convened again this year aid to cover the full cost of tuition for these studies. They can request them graduates aged 25 to 40 registered as job seekers and which they received benefit or subsidy between January 1 and September 1, 2010. The number of unemployed university graduates in Spain has doubled in the last three years and now reaches a rate of 9.4 per cent, almost double that in other countries of the European Union, according to the annual report of the Foundation knowledge and development (CYD). Help for registration to facilitate access to these teachings to the graduates unemployed, the Ministry of Education convened for the first time for the last academic year 2009-2010 aid to defray the cost of their registration in an official master. For the next academic year, they shall be granted again and will be extended to the degrees of the universities. The amount of this assistance will correspond to the official public price fixed by the different educational administrations for academic services conducive to obtaining of an official master’s degree in the academic year 2010-2011.

You can request to study both a public and private University, but in the latter case, even though the cost is greater, the amount of the aid may never exceed to those established for an official master of the same area of knowledge in a public University of the corresponding autonomous community. The amount of the scholarship to pursue a degree of the universities will be laid down by each institution for studies, without in any case exceed the public amount per credit for the official masters that are taught in the same autonomy. Requirements of applicants eligible for this help graduates, born between 1 January 1970 and 31 December 1985, wishing to start master’s this academic year. They may also return to require those who obtained it in the previous call to study the first year one of these graduate degrees, provided that they have exceeded 80% of enrolled credits. Who the applying for the first time must meet the following requirements: training: have an official university degree Spanish or other institution of higher education of the European higher education area, entitling access to the teachings of master.

Students from other educational systems outside the European Union (without approval), may request also provided that they demonstrate a level of education equivalent to the official degree titles. Employment situation: to seek help is necessary to be in employment situation of unemployment, be registered as a plaintiff and have perceived the provision by unemployment between January 1 and September 1, 2010. Request and allocation of aid graduates who meet these requirements have until November 16 to ask for the help. The request must be completed via telematics through the electronic site of the Ministry. Once completed, can finalize process across the network, if the candidate can be identified by using any of the electronic signature systems accepted by the administration. Otherwise, you can print the file of the application and submit it, together with the required documentation, in the University Center where you will take the master’s degree.
